Task:   Design a Christmas lighting scheme for Priory Square Shopping Centre.  Safety of the public was paramount so all lighting schemes had to be low voltage but still needed to provide a dramatic effect.  Supply and install agreed lighting scheme.  In the New Year take down the lighting scheme for storage on shopping centre site.

Specifications:   Supplied and installed Flashing Ice Lights above the three different entrance canopies.  Supplied and installed to three sides of the Clock Tower Drape lights interspersed with Polaris Stars.   Supplied and installed 20ft Norway Spruce Tree decorated with low voltage LED lights in the Priory Square Mall.

Description:   Communication was essential to understanding the client’s expectations and working within their budget to make the project a success.  Mock-ups of the scheme were produced for the client’s approval.  A Frosts team conducted the installation across two days. The lighting over the entrance canopies required an early morning installation which was essential to ensure the entrances were clear for the public by 9.00am.  The lighting scheme on the Clock Tower was installed using a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) during the daylight hours.  For the safety of the installation team and the public, a safe working area was cordoned off around the Clock Tower.   Finally a personally selected premium grade Nordman Fir, decorated with low voltage LED lights, was installed in the Mall.  A purpose built box stand was used to erect the tree and hold the ballast.  During the installation our staff needed to work and communicate very closely with the on site facilities office and security personnel in order to keep the centre informed of any risks to the public and to ensure the necessary precautions where taken.
